Local Onsite SQL Developer

We are seeking a local detail-oriented and experienced SQL Database Developer on a contract basis to support our data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will be work onsite and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions that ensure efficient data access, transformation, and reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Design and implement database schemas and data models to support business applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.
  • Assist in database migration, upgrades, and backup/recovery processes.
  • Document database structures, processes, and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL development and relational database design.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent).
  • Experience with one or more RDBMS platforms (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and BI tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
